GAPS Australia is recruiting volunteers!

GAPS is an organisation which seeks to facilitate sustainable development in the areas of education, medical development and community development by establishing partnerships across the developed and developing world.
We are recruiting general team members to work in teams in Australia on exciting and involved projects in Kenya working to improve the lives of people within communities in need.
There's something for everyone, no matter what your interest or skills are. It doesn't matter whether you're a development guru or high-powered problem solver and team leader or whether you've never done anything like it before and just want to do whatever you can to help. It's a fantastic opportunity to get involved and do something stimulating but also to do something worthwhile.

Specific positions advertised
GAPS also invites applications for the three specific positions listed below. These are crucial positions in GAPS and are essential for the smooth running of our project work; the flow-on impact of their work is enormous.

The Communication Manager’s role is to act as a central point of communication within GAPS and between the organisation and its supporters, linking people together through promotion, media releases and newsletters.
The Publications Manager’s role is to oversee the release of all publications released by GAPS. In charge of print and electronic publication, the Publications Manager is crucial in letting people know about GAPS and its work and hence is crucial in building partnerships to support communities.
The IT Manager’s role encompasses co-ordinating the information technology needs of GAPS. With significant autonomy to maintain and create systems to ensure the organisation runs smoothly on its electronic backbone, this position helps all of the people involved with GAPS get the job done.
